Why Volunteer?
“Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on Earth.” — Muhammad Ali
The CCAWR needs YOU! We need your vision, your enthusiasm, your knowledge, your skills, your talent and your spirit of service and community. We are always actively recruiting talented individuals to assist with the execution of, or to participate in, our many and varied events and programs.
Volunteering facilitates the development of interpersonal and communication skills, the enhancement of social awareness and relationship management competencies, engenders self-esteem and self-confidence and gives individuals the opportunity to network and make new friends, all while giving back to their community.
For students in Grades 9 – 12 this is an excellent way to earn community hours which will count towards your High School Community Service Requirements. Volunteer service also enhances your opportunity for acceptance into post-secondary studies, as well as your chances of success in scholarship applications.
Retirees, this is your chance to continue your service to the community, to keep active and to connect with people who share your interests. It is also your chance to invest in the next generation.
What is your Vision and Purpose? Are they aligned with ours? If yes, let’s work together to be the change we want to see!
