Join us on Sunday, September 25th as the Congress of Black Women of Canada – Waterloo Region (CBW) and the Caribbean Canadian Association of Waterloo Region (CCAWR) are jointly hosting the 2022 Annual Awards of Excellence!
After almost two and a half years of lockdowns and quarantines, we can resume hosting this celebratory affair in person once more. We will recognize and celebrate the achievements of many of our community’s bright talented students who received scholarship awards from 2020 through 2022.

With the return of our annual awards event, we wanted to make it a special affair and will have a special quest to deliver inspiring words to this year’s scholarship recipients. We are honoured and blessed to invite The Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean P.C., C.C., C.M.M., C.O.M., C.D., F.R.C.P.S.C. (HON), the 27th Governor General, Commander-in-Chief of Canada.
Come out and help us celebrate the achievements of talented African, Caribbean and Black and Caribbean young people from our community.
