Celebrating History and Weaving our Dreams

We are excited to invite you all to our 2023 Cambridge Black History Month Celebration: Celebrating History and Weaving Our Dreams.
The event takes place on Saturday, February 25th from 12 pm-4 pm at Idea Exchange Queen’s Square. We have an entire afternoon of fun activities for the whole family!
We have partnered with Peggy Plet to develop and host a Black History Trivia game local to Waterloo Region!
The Cambridge Guild will be hosting yarn and weaving workshops.
Cambridge Art Galleries is having a textile-based Art Exhibit featuring Black artists titled: To Build What We Become When We Dream, curated by Sarah-Tai Black.
Skaha Zulu will be hosting drumming workshops, and Irie Mirie will be providing delicious Caribbean cuisine.
